Press, Publicity, and a New Painting

I have a nice little mention in an article in the Boise Weekly about art collecting.  The article has a shot of one of my pieces too!

Spink and Butler stand before a large oil and alkyd on board by Wyoming artist Matt Flint. The painting, entitled Dust, is their most recent acquisition. It employs abstracted plants and animals to suggest isolation and transformation. It offers a dream-like landscape of the artist's imagination.

"I like the texture and the colors," Spink says. "The techniques Flint uses, like scratching the surface, make it moody. When I look at Matt's work, I wonder what he's thinking about."

Gallery MAR

I am pleased to announce that I am now represented by Gallery MAR. Saturday I drove to Park City, Utah to meet with Maren Bargreen, the owner of Gallery MAR.

I brought 6 new works to the gallery, two of which are below.

The gallery is on Main Street in Park City and has a diverse and exciting roster of artists. I am so fortunate to be able to work with great galleries ran by people who are committed to their artists, art making, and the communities that they serve.

For more information on the gallery please visit http://www.gallerymar.com/
